Malus is the strongest LL with the sword of Khaine, which gimps your entire faction, thus is a dumb option. But are not cheaper or easier accessed than Darkshards.

Either way, their cost can be free with Rakarth or with Malus's ability to spawn a free army.ĭarkshards are better than HE archers, but there is no comparable unit to Sisters of Avelorn that outform the entire DE roster. Hydras are probably a bit better in general with their breath but can get bogged down. They're excellent at sniping mounted lords and can hold their own in melee.
Medusa are worthless units and not even remotely worth their cost. Fire can be awesome if you place your wizard at the right angle to get that head through the whole line. Vampires and Ruin aren't available to HE either, so not sure there. Armor piercing might be more relevant in the late game. Blade wind destroys massed AI infantry lines and it stays around for a long time. I routinely get 300+ kills a battle with a Dark Sorceress using a T1 spell (don't need many skill points or winds of magic). My experience is that Blade Wind is INCREDIBLY useful against packed infantry. That does not match my experience at all. Has higher costs across the board as well. #3 I hope you're not equating anything involving the word "doomstack" with some measure of skill yes it nay be the optimal way to play but it's also artifically making the game easier on yourself.īlade Wind is actually the weakest in terms of AP and overall damage of vortex spells, with no way to improve such as with Fire or Ruin. Doom stacks don't tend to be fun to play. #2, if by "optimize" you mean use doom stacks and magic cheese, then no, I don't do that. #1, there's no call to be a ♥♥♥♥ or make random assumptions. It seems you don't really optimize your playthrough, but instead brute force your way, and aren't fully aware of the strengths and mechanics available to other factions or DE.
